On Sunday June 4, 2017 over 1,500 people gathered on the campus of Bergen Community College for the 8th Annual Go the Distance for Autism Bike Ride presented by Ramsey Auto Group. Go the Distance for Autism is the largest charity cycling event in North Jersey raising funds and awareness for individuals with autism and their families. Riders participated in one of four scenic rides that took them across Bergen County; 3M, 10M, 25M or 62.5M. This year GTD4A has raised over $950,000 to support Autism Education and Service programs in North Jersey.
Included in the day’s activities was the Family Fun Festival and Community Pavilion in which attendees could enjoy family friendly games, bounce houses, rock climbing wall, dunk tank and a catered lunch. Special appearances by former NY Giant Carl Banks and country western performer Todd O’Neill rounded out what was a spectacular day for children and adults with autism and their families, neighbors and friends.
Go the Distance offers scenic routes for riders of all ages and ability levels.
