Building the Foundation for Friendships

Our fee-for-service afterschool social skills program offers an engaging, supportive environment where children and adolescents with autism can build meaningful peer connections while strengthening the social skills that support friendship development. Groups are facilitated by trained staff and clinically supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to ensure high-quality instruction and individualized support. Participants practice essential social competencies through structured, enriching activities such as cooperative games, joining ongoing play, responding to peer questions, and initiating and maintaining conversation. Each participant’s interests are matched to a group with compatible peers to maximize social learning and relationship-building opportunities.
