Dr. Bridget Taylor Receives Ramapo College Merit Award

Paramus, NJ April 12, 2018 – Dr. Bridget A. Taylor, Co-founder and Executive Director of Alpine Learning Group has been selected to receive the President’s Award of Merit from the Ramapo College Alumni Association – the highest award given to an outstanding alumna. Ramapo credits Dr. Taylor’s significant professional accomplishments as key in the selection process.

Dr. Taylor Co-founded Alpine Learning Group 30 years ago and serves as the Executive Director. Under her guidance Alpine has grown to be New Jersey’s preeminent Autism Center, offering key programs including clinical and diagnostic services, educational programming and adult services. Dr. Taylor holds a Doctorate of Psychology from Rutgers University, and received her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Columbia University. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Psychologist. Dr. Taylor is active in the autism research community and has published numerous articles and book chapters on innovative and effective interventions for autism. Dr. Taylor is a widely sought after national and international speaker on autism treatments, and serves in an advisory capacity for autism education and treatment programs both locally and abroad. Dr. Taylor is considered a leading authority on behavioral treatments for autism.

Dr. Taylor graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ramapo in 1986. She says of her experience, “During my time at Ramapo I took a course with Professor Mary Starke – Childhood Behavior Disorders – where I was required to participate in an applied practicum placement assisting in a therapeutic program for children with autism. Fast forward over three decades later and I am proud to say that Alpine Learning Group now serves as a practicum placement for Ramapo College psychology students interested in autism. Being able to give back to the community that gave me my start has been professionally gratifying and furthering the field with students who have the sound backing of Ramapo College is a win for the autism community.”
